On January 15, 2025, the Research Centre for Biomass Valorization (RCBV), part of the Institute for Biosystems and Bioengineering (IBB), hosted the RCBV-IBB Seminar Series to kick off the year. The seminar was held at the Smart Meeting Room and featured two speakers from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia.
Dr. Kenny Lischer presented on the topic “Bioprospective of Indigenous CRISPR-Cas System for Gene Engineering and Diagnostics,” sharing insights into the potential applications of CRISPR-Cas systems. Meanwhile, Prof. Misri Gozan delivered a presentation on SuperPro simulation, a key tool in process engineering. Prof. Misri Gozan, who is also the Head of the RCBV Research Centre, opened the event and encouraged the attending students to engage enthusiastically and develop research ideas for the future.
The seminar was attended by undergraduate and graduate students from both the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Department of Chemical Engineering. It provided an opportunity for students to gain valuable knowledge and foster academic growth in their respective fields.
